CASE MANAGEMENT

Supported by our medical team, we communicate with the treating physicians and verify the utilization from the onset of the emergency. Our medical team review and approve major diagnostic tests and surgeries when necessary and in accordance with the coverage purchased.

EMERGENCY RETURN HOME

By air, ground or sea, we arrange the emergency return of any patient and their dependents wherever they are. The choice or method of return is dependent on the fitness to travel and the proximity to the travel port.

CLAIMS

CLAIMS ADJUDICATION

We have a fiduciary duty to our underwriters to adjudicate claims according to the coverage purchased.

Our claims philosophy has been written in accordance with the “Statement of Principles” developed by the International Claims Association (ICA).

Through our Cost Containment program, we reduce the potential financial exposure to our clients and our customers to an ultimate minimum.

RECOVERIES, INVESTIGATION AND SUBROGATION

We coordinate insurance benefits with other insurers and submit claims to the Government Health Insurance Plan of the member Province.

In some instances, through investigation, we must unmask claims that were submitted erroneously or with malicious intent. We conduct local investigation and personnel interview.

We offer insurance defence and subrogation and have access to lawyers worldwide to litigate or subrogate when it is needed.
